Foster Feasts Signature Cranberry Sauce

Cranberries and fresh oranges.
Fresh ingredients make this a healthy choice for your next festive meal.

Now Cranberry sauce is one of those classic staples that can quickly be forgotten and we just grab a can of sauce and pour it into a bowl. Now my simple recipe can be cooked on the grill as I did during my takeover or you can use an oven or a pot on a stove top. The important thing to note is that this healthy recipe uses fresh real ingredients.

I am a big advocate for using natural sweeteners including honey and maple syrup. Both are great options. Peace River Honey has been a great Canadian company who's products I have fallen in love with and use everyday. It has become a staple in my kitchen.

So let's keep this simple here's a quick and easy cranberry sauce recipe!

CRANBERRY SAUCE RECIPE

Combine in a skillet or pot (if using a stove)

  • 1 bag of fresh cranberries rinsed.

  • 1/2 cup Honey (or maple syrup)

  • zest one orange

  • Juice half of the orange you just zested

  • 1/2 cup water

lightly stir and cook for 20-30 minutes on the grill (or in your oven) at 350F or until it bubbles on the stove top. Remove from heat. Cool completely.
Stores in a sealed container for a week.

East cranberry sauce.
Our family always enjoys when the fresh bowl of Cranberry sauce is served along side our holiday dinners.
