Goat Cheese Honey Truffles

These tiny little truffles are the perfect sweet cheese bite to eat with crackers or baguettes. It's a next level sweet cheese ball. This recipe was curated and inspired by the Peace River Honey Products I have come to love.

As an avid snack board creator I am always dreaming up and exploring new things to feature on my boards. The recipe can be made to create one large cheese ball or approximately 12 truffles. Truffles can be rolled in Bee Pollen or crushed pecans.

RECIPE

Makes: 12 Truffle Balls or 1 Large Cheese Ball

INGREDIENTS

1/2 brick of Cream Cheese (room temperature)
140g Goat Cheese (small log)
2 TBSP Creamed Peace River Honey
1/4 TSP Cinnamon
3/4 cup Bee Pollen or crushed nuts

DIRECTIONS

  1. Using a small mixing bowl combine cream cheese, goat cheese, creamed honey and cinnamon. Mix until until blended.

  2. On a small plate pour bee pollen (or nuts).

  3. Using a small TBSP scoop  scoop the cheese mixture into  a ball form then place on the bee pollen. Roll ball until coated in pollen.

  4. Repeat until all cheese has been rolled.

NOTE: If you prefer to make a ball, scoop all cream cheese onto a piece plastic wrap and create a ball. Place in Fridge for one hour then roll in Pollen or Nuts.

Spice up your next Charcutiere or snack board with these spreadable delicious treat. These truffles go great with crackers or bread.

Add these balls to a charcuterie board or appetizer platter.
