Loaded Sausage Skewers - Chimmichurri, Cheese & Grilled Veg

A mountain of flavour piled on a fresh grilled sausages. There is no doubt these will become a summer staple.

Grilled sausages on a skewer topped with grilled peppers, melted cheese and a hearty serving of fresh hand cut chimichurri.

Loaded and packed with flavour.

Sausage and peppers smothered with mozza and topped with fresh handmade chimichhrri. This is one of my favourite things to make when the herbs are plentiful and I can hand cut fresh garden chimichurri.

This recipe is something easy for anyone to make and great for weeknight meals and you can be creative with different toppings to make it all your own.

Loaded Sausage Skewers

Ingredients

Include everything your reader needs to make this recipe perfectly, with measurements, optional additions, or alternatives. For example:

  • 4-5 of your Favourite Sausages

  • Fresh cut peppers sliced thinly

  • 1 small onion sliced

  • 3 slices of mozzarella or provolone cheese

  • 1 TBSP olive oil

  • 1 TSP Italian Seasoning

  • \Fresh Chimichurri (RECIPE HERE)

Directions

  1. Start by skewering all of the sausages together on two metal skewers.

  2. Preheat grill to 400F. I also put my cast iron pan on the grill to heat it up as well during the warm up.

  3. Grill skewered sausages for 15-18 minutes. The veggies take less and you will want to only saute the peppers and onions for 5-10 minutes to keep them crunchy.

  4. When the sausages hit 15 minutes flip and place the peppers and onions on top and top with the cheese slices.

  5. Cook for 5 more minutes.

  6. Remove from heat and top with chimichurri or eat them just as they are.
